September 9th, 2012

One of our riders was allowed to carry the Paralympic torch through the street. He was very excited about this and enjoyed his moment. All his family and friends, including us at Sugarloaf are immensely proud of him. Well done!

Done it again!

November 14th, 2011

After Aaron’s win for Sugarloaf Rda at St Albans in 2010,  his brother Josh wins  in the Countryside Challenge on the same horse, kirsh, which was kindly donated by Janet from another RDA group. Aaron done well also coming 3rd in the Countryside Challenge and 5th in Intro to Dressage.

Josh’s win made him eligable to compete a Hartpury College at Gloustershire, following in his brothers footsteps. He done very well coming 6th in the Countryside Challenge and 2nd in Intro to Dressage and making 3rd in points combined for both classes in the whole show.

This is an excellent achievement for our riders after considering the RDA entries in the classes travelled from around the whole of the uk and Ireland to take part.

Well done Josh (left) Aaron (middle) and big thank you to Ryan (right) and all the other riders that took part and volunteers who attended to give support and cheer them on.

One of our riders, Ryan Dallas, had the chance to have a private riding lesson at Barrow Farm with Simon Lauren.

Simon Lauren won Silver in Individule Dressage and Team GB Gold at the Bejing Olympics 2010.

The horse, Cash,  was donated by one of our volunteers for Ryan to ride. Amazinly Ryan had only ridden her twice before the lesson, so it was a very big learning curve for both him and Cash, who was a little star. Both Ryan and Cash worked so well and really learnt alot in their lesson together, even with the pressure of having lots of spectators sitting in the gallery.

Ryan has come a long way since he joined Sugarloaf RDA  and owes them a great deal for all their help and support to get him so far.

Fund raising couldn’t be simpler! Everytime you shop on line you could be raising money for us.

How?

With  www.easyfundraising.org.uk

First you have to register with them and then everytime you shop on line, you go back to easyfundrasing web site and log on. Decide your charity ‘Sugarloaf RDA’ and then find the shop you wish to shop with, for example, ‘Amazon’. Once you have made your purchase with them you will automatically generate a cash back donation of up to 15% to your choosen charity group.
